FIND & CENTER YOUR ENERGY BODY
Yay! You’re about halfway into the challenge! How are you feeling so far? I’d love to hear about it!
Yesterday with the breathing exercises I talked about how they adjust your energy.
If this seemed too far out, you’re not alone. Because energy is hard to see, many people dismiss it as “woo woo”. My whole acupuncture career is based around energy which is called Qi (“chee”), and believe me, it works amazingly for many people.
Qi can be felt as:
- relaxation, an absence of pain & tension
- a weighted pressure
- heat
- a tingly feeling
Qi is our life force, which is also called Prana in Yoga & Ayurveda. It’s a pretty big deal.
When it’s stagnant or deficient, it can result in pain or disease. Sometimes physical habits can cause this imbalance of energy. Sometimes our thoughts and emotions are the root of the Qi blockage in the body. Our goal in Yoga, Qigong, and Acupuncture/acupressure is to mobilize the Qi to keep us healthy and well on all levels.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE: Center and Find Your Energy Body
Take some time right now to pause and do the centering exercise we did on Day 1. This time as you sit, I want you to feel that the boundaries of your body are dissolving.
Instead of feeling stiff, solid muscles and bones, feel that you’re more porous, more spacious, more light and less solid. This is your energy body. As you connect in with it, you can lighten up emotionally too. And you’re less likely to accumulate stress and tension in your body when you live more from this space.
Try this visualization on your own this morning (no guided recording from me).
We’ll review together tonight in the video below with a mini Qigong & Yoga practice!
